We are in the final stages of preparing the Health Equity Strategy 2025-2028 and its Implementation Plan.
The Strategy and Plan have come together after 8 months of travel from Wujal Wujal in the Cape to Saibai in the Torres Strait.
Led by our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, we held 41 community yarning sessions in 39 communities. Then came the careful work of taking what we heard and finding the common threads of what health equity means to the community. We matched what more than 600 people shared to actions we can be accountable for.
